Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva has been nominated as a Member of the Commonwealth Games Committee of World Archery for the Commonwealth Games 2030, to be held in Amdavad.
Taking to social media platform X, Sachdeva stated, “Deeply humbled and truly honoured to be appointed as a Member of the Commonwealth Games Committee of World Archery for the Commonwealth Games 2030 Amdavad.”
The Delhi BJP chief expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership in building an ecosystem where country’s athletes no longer just participate globally, but lead. He hailed PM’s vision, nation’s enhanced sports policies, and the belief that the country is striving at the global level.

“I am also grateful to the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Sports Authority of India, and Archery Association of India for their trust and confidence, and, to every archer who has ever drawn a bow for India, every coach who believed, and every federation that fought for our place on the world stage,” he said.
Sachdeva said he is now looking forward to contributing meaningfully to the growth of archery and to further enhance the country’s presence in the international sporting community.
Meanwhile, the appointments of the members, includeing Sachdeva, have been made by the World Archery Executive Board (WAEB) to serve on the Commonwealth Games Committee. The BJP leader as a sports administrator serves as the Secretary General of the Archery Association of India, and is an Executive Board member of World Archery Asia.
He also serves as the Vice-President of the Delhi Olympic Association and has been a member of the Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA), while he was also the former president of the Delhi Archery Association.
